SEAFA Membership

As a non-profit, volunteer-led trade association, SEAFA is sustained by its corporate partners, fund managers

and service provider memberships. Investors and allocators who invest in third-party alternative investment funds and

alternative investment strategies (such as wealth advisors, family offices, private banks, foundations, endowments, etc.)

have the opportunity to apply for complimentary SEAFA membership and will be reviewed on case-by-case basis.

EDUCATION: SEAFA strives to promote the growth and development of the alternative investment community and keep members informed of industry and regulatory changes
industry best practices and the current investment environment.

INTERACTION: SEAFA sponsors in-person and virtual programs featuring speakers who allocate to alternative investment strategies and funds, alternative fund managers, service providers, academics, and regulators. Our in-person events also feature networking opportunities to promote member engagement and connection.

ADVANCEMENT: SEAFA seeks to provide a professional forum to enhance the visibility of, accessibility to, and interaction between people who are active in the alternative investment community in the Southeast.

Membership Options:

Investor Membership - Attend SEAFA events complimentary and access all SEAFA resources via our website and mobile app. Membership is complimentary for approved investors (wealth advisors, family offices, foundations, endowments, etc. please apply using your work e-mail and firm contact information). If you are an individual investor seeking membership in SEAFA and qualify as an accredited investor or qualified purchaser, please apply as an individual investor member in your application. A member of SEAFA's Board will contact you to verify your membership status upon receipt and review of your investor application.

Academic/Media/In-Transition - $125.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments - Those who were investor or fund manager members and are in transition will be given a 90-day grace period before their membership status will be migrated to this category.

Fund Manager Membership - $150.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments - Fund Manager Memberships are for GPs of alternative asset management firms/funds/platforms, professionals running fundless sponsor platforms, search funds, and those in the process of setting up an investment vehicle or alternative investment fund.

Service Provider Membership - $250.00 (USD) are professionals who provide services to GPs and LPs in the alternative investment industry, for example, attorneys, accountants, consultants or advisors that provide services in real estate, hiring, etc.

Corporate Partner Membership - (Bronze, Silver, Gold) - As a Partner your organization will receive brand exposure at events, via communications to members, and through exposure on the SEAFA website. Representatives of your organization receive access to our online membership directory, complimentary admission to most of the SEAFA events, and exclusive VIP invitations. Investor Membership - Free Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments - Investor or Allocator Membership is for individuals who individually or through their firm invest in alternative investments.
- Fund of Funds and/or Asset Managers who manage funds as a primary business should register as Fund Managers.
- Wealth Advisors/RIAs, SFO, MFOs, who manage internal funds but whose primary business is allocating capital to third-party managers should register as investors/allocators.
